HARTLESS

After reading about 3,000 reviews and being broke I ordered up a shinko 777 for $88 (americanmototire.com) shipping was free and It only took 5-days. Although its for a Cruiser type bike I read a few good reviews on concourse and such and decided to give it A shot, plus I'm a big guy and ride two up so the extra load capacity is nice. So far so good, about 70 miles and I like it better than the Bridgestone battleaxe I had on previously . The compound seems a lot softer which is weird. Another good thing is the tread seems to be about 4-5mm deep.  Anyways I'll keep you posted If anyone cares haha

Ps
I think the load capacity is about 760 lbs( don't quote me) and its a 4ply. Also comes in a 6 ply

Pps
Sorry if words are wrong or structure is bad , it's hard using my old school phone!

Will do. I just know how opinionated people get about tires especially shinkos. So I wasn't sure if anyone cared to hear. I try to keep my mind open about products

I really like the Shinko Raven and Verge tires, but it looks like some of the Contis are very competitive on price/performance now.

I'm going to be ordering up a new front here and will probably go with the conti motion. From the same site mentioned above I can get it for about $70 :good:
Where we're you able to find the verge and even in the right size? Or do you have the 17" rear wheel installed?

I have the YZF600 front and rear on my '89.

I lucked into the Verge rear at the '11 ECFR... burned through the Raven a lot quicker than anticipated.  The Euro bike shop down by Two Wheels just happened to have one in stock.

That's how we got where we are today... no one takes an interest in it, and left it to a lot of undesirables on both sides of the fence.

FWIW, not a Democrat, not a Republican, though my state makes me register as one or the other in order to vote in the (stupid) open primaries.

I liked my original s/n a lot better, but it's apparently not an option anymore.    :sorry:

End of OT discussion (at least for me).

sounds good. A little more on the shinko 777.

I am actually really impressed. I would say that I am pretty easy on the tires (though I weigh 270lbs) and am not very aggressive. But since I hit the 100 mile mark I went a little hard on them and I have a hard time (havnt been able to yet) getting it to spin even in the wet this am. so far im really happy, not really any twisties yet but soon!

Oh really? I just happen to know someone with a YZF 600 rear wheel and the machined parts to install it in your bike for sale.

Money is a problem too. The last couple months have been the worst money months I've ever had! How much does this person want for it and where?
