That's it!!! I am moving to Portland!! My old brew buddy has moved there and crawls from pub to pub with emails on how good the IPA is and said he would buy a pint if I were there... I am in the wrong city... :dash1: :dash1: :dash1: :dash1:

Your more than welcome to come on up Monkey.  Just don't be wearing those leathers around here during drinking hours; we got some Portlandians around here who aren't all right in the head.   :shok:

With a Porter or Stout, something from a food cart, and your FJ.  When they pitch a fit about you being parked on the sidewalk, just tell 'em it's a bicycle with a motor.

I'm happy I live 40 miles from Portland, I work there, that's enough for me, LOL. On the topic, I'm of no help with carb projects, I've never synced carbs before and don't know how. My little 550 suzuki sure needs it. I'm going to be sending Randy my carbs for overhaul and tune when I buy the new exhaust he's been developing... after I fix 2nd gear, ugh.

Porter, stout, check... Can I slip in a few IPAs? I love the hops and kick of a good IPA. So I can keep my ambulance colored bike er bicycle with a motor, but need to change my personal look to Black Power Ranger????

Sounds like a plan.  The goth look is still in downtown so no problems there.  Just go easy on the IPA's, especially the dark ones; they gotta kick that would make a howler monkey scream.  No Pun intended.

Of course,....  you could just go to Horse Brass and order a 'Pint a Billy', and a Scotch Egg to help absorb the alcohol from the 'Billy'.  But then, you'll need to order another 'Pint a Billy' to help cut the grease and cholesterol from the Scotch Egg.  It could lead to a vicious cycle, so do be careful.  :drinks:

Ohhhh yeah.  Had my first Scotch Egg a few weeks ago.

Tasty, but I swear I could hear my arteries hardening.

Even if you send the carbs off to Randy they will need to be synced on your bike.  A bench sync only will get you so far.

I've got a Morgan CarbTune.  Once setup, it only takes a few minutes to dial them in.

My old brewing partner retired from Skunk Works and now lives just out side of Portladia. I stopped in a few years ago and we went pub crawling, what an awesome place to live in. When I return I will make it a point to visit with you Garth and the others members in the area.

I really hate posting on April Fools Day, and my first post non the less...but I am also in the Portland area(well..I just moved to Aloha).   :hi:
If you guys have not done the carbs yet I would love to join. My bike could really use some TLC, I can do the work myself, but it is always nicer when there are other people around.  :good2:
I might be interested in the Stage 1 kit.
I would also be up for some ridding, my 'normal' trip is along 14 to the bridge of the gods and then bring 84 back so I can stop for ice cream at the falls.

welcome! I still have yet to sync the carbs, I am going to wait until I can get around to the valve shimming!(who knows when I will) I still have the jet kit let me know

I guess I better check my settings....I keep checking my email for someone to respond to this thread...lol
I am off the next few day's(I am pretty much always a little off..but arnt we all?..lol)
Shoot me a PM or post it here..how much would you want for it?
Maybe we can make a party out of it. I could do mine at the same time.  :wacko2:

Let me check to make sure it really is a stage 1 and you should check to make sure they will work on your 84, mine are for a 92 and i dont know if there is a difference between the 1100 and 1200

Yes, there is a difference in jetting between an 84 and 90 bike.  You need a specific kit for your model year of bike.

Another option is to talk with Randy and just buy the jets you need and shim your needles.  Way cheaper..

Working as fast as I can to get things done....
