I am having problems with the gas cap on my FJ1100. The tumbler is shot and I'm not sure what can be done about it. I read that old(80's) honda gas caps have the same internals as the FJ1100. What model honda?

Does anyone have an idea how I could get a new gas cap and key?

I have a cap and key off a 3CV (1990) pay shipping and it's yours. Better find out 1st if they interchange.
Anyone, will the 3CV cap work on his FJ11?

fj11.5

cap itself wont fit, but maybe the lock barrel will
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

Have you taken it to a locksmith? Might just need new pins or slides ?

Life isn't about having the best, but about making the best of what you have...

Not sure if it will fit yet, but just in case, whats shipping to 08629?

Looks that the "if it fits, it ships" option would be the best at $12.35 unless I can squeeze it into the smallest one. But then you might get a more broken gas cap.... But you're not going to mount it, just scavenge off it. Key and barrel would be safe. That's $5.60.

BTW, I live in the 92040 zip area.

And here is the gascap I got:

As you can see, the top ring is cracked and the rubber seal on the bottom is also.

The cheapest shipping sounds good to me since I'm not sure any of it will work; I guess its worth a shot.

So how would you like me to pay you? Paypal?
