I am way past due to get my carbs in to Kookaloo condition. Currently I am using borrowed carbs from a FP bike and cannot get much more than 100 miles before the carbs are starved for fuel at freeway speeds.  Hang on to your lug nuts, its Time for an overhaul....

So I set up a table to rebuild my carbs: There is beer, it was in my hand during the photo moment, I don't want to jinx the rebuild...

I took #1 carb apart to see what condition my condition was in.....

Not bad, looks clean, keeping the bike running at least every two weeks and fuel additives seems to help keep them clean. I am in touch with Randy to keep me on track, I am building my list to complete the rebuild... More to come.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

You noticed it eh? I was hoping to prevent this:

The PO already had it buggered up and beyond hope. The rest of the fasteners came out without slotting them. I already have the SST hex socket kit when the time comes to reassemble.

wouldnt of even bothered slotting it, they come undone easily with a small set of vice grips, or do you yankee,s call them locking pliers

Well, this is one area where bigger isn't always better.  The small vice grips and especially the long nose small vice grips are extremely useful for lots of jobs that their bigger brothers can't get near.  Buy and try a pair, you won't be unhappy.

Just saying that I might do that, would that mean I have to put a Pink stripe on my FJ?

you cant be delicate with large vice grips on screws made from vintage cheese,  so a pink stripe wont help
