Okay, not today... it was about 3am yesterday when I got home with a 'new' FJ project.

Thanks again, Anthony!

OK, you got a project now ! I see the front brakes are updated. Are you missing the fairing or is it just off for repair ? Its the same color as my 1990. Mine came off the assembly 10 /89 sold as 1990. I should repaint it red and white so I could belong to the club .

George, don't do that, that is one of my favorite color combinations on the FJ.
Red and whites are common, but your's is special.
and, yes, I thought that color combo was on the '90's, not '89's, weren't the 2 color options on the '89's (for the USA) white and silver, and midnight blue?

It went down at low speed on the right side, and the area around the turnsignal is trashed, and the can on that side is damaged.  Most everything else looks pretty straight.  It does have the blue spots, and braided lines (calipers need to come apart for cleaning) but the stock m/c (I have an R1 m/c on the shelf and another pair of blue spots, ready to go).  I also have a full set of plastic in that color.  I also have everything I need to do the YZF600 rear wheel (I already have it on my '89, & 2 extra sets of wheels).  It'll be a candidate for a fork swap before long (my '89 already has a YZF600 unit), but for now a stock fork will have to do.  It also already has pods, and a spin-on adapter.

It's a 1990. I also have a theft-deterrent (so the very jealous ambulance riders say) silver / white '89.    :bomb:

Nice buy. Awesome that you already have a color matched fairing ready to put on.

I refer to my 89' White and Silver as the "Stealth Mode" color. The colors are nuetral and blend in. No bright red or blue to catch the eye of the award givers.

Well, it's not quite ready, but it needs a lot less reconstruction the the original does.

The 'theft-deterrent' thing came from an FJer who had to settle for one of the early 'prototype' FJs... pay them no mind whatsoever.    :bomb:

I seem to recall that on the last forum poll ~70% of our forum members (who responded) had a red/white FJ.
....After all the red/white FJ's did run for 4 model years (1984-'87)
However, as we all know, FJ's are not common motorcycles.

Peace out.

Randy, you're welcome!

I was pretty adamant about keeping the FJ in the 'family' and I'm glad that someone has her that will love her, and pet her and take good care of her!
