That's an AGM battery for $50. Free shipping. 18 month warranty.

Isn't that a pretty good deal? Lead Acid batteries from Autozone--which aren't very reliable--are about $50 after core charge, and AGM's are about $80 after core charge.

Am I missing something? I might grab one of these, use my current battery in my project ninja, and put a new one in mine. I was going to buy it a $50 lead acid battery, but I'm sure it won't mind the extra CCA from the 220a FJ battery I've been using to work on it.

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.

Just so you know, sealed AGM's do not like overcharging (14.2 volts max.)
If your lead acid battery boils (IOW you need to add water to it) you want to fix your voltage regulator first, before going to a sealed AGM.
FJ's like to run 14.6-15.2 volts charging current.

Also, check to make sure the positive and negative terminals are on the proper side of the battery.

Make sure it will fit in the box. I tried a YTX14 Yuasa battery from another bike i have but wont fit, although a number of sites list it for the bike. Ended up buying a Motobatt.

I currently use an Auto zone AGM, but that's good to know.

I'll check fitment and terminals, thanks for the heads up.
