What's better. Pirelli or Avon in 16 inch tyres

Tiger

:hi: I've ran with Avon's for years on all my rides without any problems. However, the Avon rear was on back order for three months :dash2: so I went for a set of Pirelli Sport Demons for this coming season :good2:

... I'll let you know in the fall of 2013 what I think of them  :rofl2:  ...

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive & well preserved body...but rather to slide in sideways, body completely worn out and and with your last dying breath screaming, "HOOOYA LIFE, lets try that again"!!!

I ran on Avon's (Radial), San Dimas Mike is using the Demon's and is happy with them. If you are a real corner junkie pick Avon, radials tend to have a larger contact patch. I think either is a good choice, so price and availability are the next criteria.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

If you want radials Avon is the only choice for a 16" rear tyre. I have run several sets of Avon tyres and been happy with them. Hope this helps?

Ive ordered an AVON 16 inch. It's got a Michilan  on the rear now. Ad I'm getting rid of it. No good when the tyres cold slips. Yeah it's worn down and just near the indicators. It's either old or no good till it warms up
