Kinda cool huh?  All that nerdy info in one (long ass) table.....
We could take turns and populate it as we go....I would add a column for a place to cite a reference.

Marsh and Bill,  you guys could hand out the various homework assignments with a free prize (FJ upgrade) for the folks who contribute the most work  (hint; hit me off line)

It's a hell of a lot of work  but we could really have some fun with this...
1) Free Owners Manual download: https://tinyurl.com/fmsz7hk9
2) Don't store your FJ with E10 fuel https://tinyurl.com/3cjrfct5
3) Replace your old stock rubber brake lines.
4) Important items for the '84-87 FJ's:
Safety wire: https://tinyurl.com/99zp8ufh
Fuel line: https://tinyurl.com/bdff9bf3

Would also need separate columns for the different years.

I'd help...  :good2:

Tell ya what Pat, I think this is a great idea.

I have really dropped the bat on the files area and for that I sincerely apologize to everyone here. Life got in the way of all but quick looks online. When I started trying to move the files I found a lot of incomplete and conflicting information. I found files which I found to be questionable based on my knowledge of the topic and in all honesty I was too chicken to point this out and risk offending long time members and friends.I couldn't find the time to research and clean up the files. Basically I failed.

In light of that, how about this. I will create an excel spreadsheet over the next few days mirroring the one posted. Once th table is done I will make it available to anyone who is interested in this project to fill in the details. Once completed and fact checked I will finish it up and attach it to the board.

Fair enough?

Marsh White

Thanks Bill!  Fair Enough!

Oh - I don't think you dropped the ball on anything here...and I do appreciate your candor on the conflicting files information.  You have been a great resource here for information and wit!  I'm disappointed I won't be able to ride with you again at this ECFR...I did enjoy our ride last time...even though you were on that pussy ass 600...

I look forward to the next ride. I will keep the mini bike around in hopes of your return. After all it's only fair as I have the home court advantage.... Right now I am busy trying to de-track bike it so I can go play in the mountains. Dean will only let me play on the FJR since the FJ is way too fast for me.

Thanks Bill! You're doing a fine job, no worries.....

The (recommended mandatory) reference column should help *us* quickly fact check.

When I say *us* in mean all of us. This is a big task Bill and please don't feel like you have to do it alone.

Speaking of fact checks; this guy has a pfd file of a 1984 FJ1100 Yamaha Service Manual we could use in our library: http://fjowners.com/index.php?topic=828.0

However, Marsh, please guide me here. If we don't have enough storage available to start accumulating Service Manuals please disregard.
I was thinking that the files section with the various years Service Manuals would be cool...

Later gator..

FWIW, (as far as I know) the original ('84) is the only complete A-Z manual - all following years (at least up through '91) were covered with supplements that only document the changes from previous.

Done as of last night. Has been sitting with the lever compressed with a zip tie since in hopes that this version of voodoo will work better than the FJR list version....

Pat, here is a very quick copy of the list shown at the FZ1 group but modified (slightly) for our use. I broke the bikes into 4 categories based on years but I am not as familiar with the bikes as I should be by now. So far very little work was involved as I was able to convert the FZ1 list into excel in a few seconds. Fill in whatever information you feel like (this goes for everybody) or better yet someone adopt at least 1 model group and fill it in. All I ask is that we keep it simple. do not alter the spreadsheet except to fill in the blanks. That way I can quickly and easily update the list as information comes in. If anyone wants to add (or delets information I will create a sheet for that purpose and edit it into the master.

To submit email it to me at notayama53@yahoo.com and for the record My penis is plenty big, and works just fine sans porn. Thanks anyway.

OK posting the spreadsheet is a no go. Email me at the address above for a copy (Marsh use your super secret ninja geek skills to make this happen)

attached is a .pdf of the list to use as a cheat sheet.

Bill, this looks fine although there is no table for reference notes (orgin:where the info. came from)
I will be leaving town for a week (Reno Air Races) but when I come back I'll start on the tables.

When Marsh can work his magic and get the table up for everyone to imput the info, let's post a request for help on the other sections.

Cheers! and thanks again. I'll check back in next week.
