I'm looking for advice here...

Does anyone else have an issue with the helmet lock on their '86 FJ?  I can't put my helmet in the lock b/c the helmet will rest on the tailpipe... wouldn't the tilepipe get too hot to do this & damage the helmet?

Maybe I'm wrong & it doesn't get hot enough to damage the helmet... but I don't want to try it out & ruin my helmet...

I hook the inside/left of my helmet over the rear turn signal on my '84.  (Visor facing forward.)  I don't know if the '86 is exactly the same, give it a try.

I'm surprised the turn signal arm is strong enough to support the helmet... but it's a good idea.

I won't use it, same reason... I  take my helmet in with me whenever possible. If I can't I'll take a bicycle cable lock and run it under the upper triple clamp and thru the chinbar...

I have an 86' and hook my helmet on the turn signal stalk with the visor facing forward. My dark visor hides the gloves I stuff inside.  :gamer:
