Rode 500 kilometers there (Panama City, Panama) and back (Chitre) again yesterday from Chitre to Panama City with my wife see to the new movie "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey".  Well worth the trip and bit of rain.  The 3D effects are fantastic and I loved the story and New Zealand really shows her stuff in the movie scenery.  5 stars in my book.  :drinks:
If you get the chance go see it. Want to go see the 2D version now.

As there is only about 4 Kiwi's on this forum and most of the others are fairly quiet I feel I can safely say on behalf of  Peter Jackson and the other 4.5 million Kiwi's in NZ.. You're welcome and we're glad you enjoyed it. Come on down some time and see for yourself  :drinks:

Not that I am personally claiming credit for any of it.. I'm just proud of anything that showcases this rather pristine and wonderful part of the world I live in.  :good2:

BTW, good effort on a 1000km ride to see a movie - and with the missus on the back! Nice one, like your work...

I guess that would apply to the 5 million Kiwi's in Bondi as well  :drinks: I get to speak to my work mates in Wellington and Auckland every Friday morning and I reckon one of them has a bit of hobbit in the family tree  :rofl2:

I am quite looking forward to seeing this movie and always enjoy my trips to NZ and get excited when the girls ask for sex and still get disappointed when it realise they said six
I have kleptomania,
but when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

I have heard from multiple people that the hobbit is a bore. Trip sounds like fun though! And I'd love to see NZ some day!

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.

I prefer to make up my own mind about things and not pay much attention to what others think. I would imagine "The Hobbit" could be a bore to some people whose mind is not open to fantasy stories.  As well, a lot of people like to jump on bandwagons when a sequel (prequel) comes out.  They always say it was not as good as the first.

Travelling to New Zealand and seeing it on my FJ would be a fantasy vacation in my mind.  I have travelled extensively in Canada and United States and have seen many similar vistas like I saw in the Lord of the Rings movies.  I have friends who work in New Zealand and Australia for the past 20-30 years and they have told me that they and Canadians get along famously.

For now, I will content myself with touring Latin America. Everybody needs a dream.

My mom, I wouldn't expect her to appreciate it. But even friends that were excited to watch it walked away disappointed. I'll catch it when it comes out on DVD, I think.

QuoteEveryone needs a dream.

Even those touring central America. ;)
