Worldwide there are madmen.
22 children attacked by a knife wielding maniac.
Why they target the defenceless is unfathomable.

I saw this when I turned on the computer this morning an absolute shame that someone would do this and my heart goes out to all the families affected by this action :cray:

The thing is now we will have too suffer the anti gun lobby screaming about how the gun laws need tightening up, the only thing that needs tightening is the hangmans noose!!! no f###ing excuses string them up don't bother with the trial as we hear all their pathetic excuses and how they were mistreated as children screw that!!

I think maybe it's a psychological control or domination thing going on in their brain. I really don't know.

Sad... VERY sad.

A parents worst nightmare.
To prey on defenceless young kids is the most spineless act you can think of.

The anti-gun press is already hard at it with their spin to make the guns the bad element in this horrible  case instead of the mental defective that commited the crime against those poor kids and teachers.

I could spin out of control on a rant about gun control.. but I will stop here before it gets me into trouble.

Prayers to the families.

I blame the media for sensationalizing these freaks.  Each one tries to top the last.

This is a senseless tragedy , my heart breaks for the parents of the children who where taken from them so young.

My oldest daughter teaches elementary school and I worry this will start a copycat thing .

I teach nights at a trade school and the threat of a student going postal is always on my mind . unfortunately no weapons are allowed on campus.

This is a senseless tragedy and I'm glad the shooter is dead. It seems to me that the crazy people only try to kill people in a location where weapons are not allowed. The reality is that when seconds count the police are only minuets away.

Thoughts and prayers to all those affected. We have gun controls here in Canada and it doe's not keep the guns out of the hands of the nut cases. You can try and control it but if they want a gun they will always find a way to get one. The gov. just repealed the gun registry up here because all it did was cost a lot of money and did not keep the guns out on the nutcases. I know that things are a little bit more lax in the states, as you can own and pack a handgun, up here you can only use a handgun with restrictions. We are not allowed to own such weapons as an assault rifle or any kind of automatic weapon. Like I said though laws and controls are not going to keep the guns out of a nut job. Just my two cents worth. Big R

Everyone seems to be concentrating on guns.

Try this.
Break the incident down to the basic factual elements.

A crazed person got guns and shot kids.

There's three elements.
Remove any one of the three and the incident could not have happened.

1.Mental Health
2.Gun Control
3.Physical separation of vulnerable places(Schools,Cinemas etc)

Which one of the three do you think most likely to be effective and why?

I find it very interesting that all of the school killers AND the batman killer were all on prescribed psychotropic drugs.

A psychoactive drug, psychopharmaceutical, or psychotropic is a chemical substance that crosses the blood–brain barrier and acts primarily upon the central nervous system where it affects brain function, resulting in alterations in perception, mood, consciousness, cognition, and behavior.

Hmmmmmmm............i dont need a college degree to put two and two together.

Big R, I had heard about the Canadian experience. Sadly, the United States government doesn't seem to pay any attention to the "costs" of anything. The Progressives (left and right varieties) get some fool scheme into their heads and never let go. "I feel that X is bad, so ban X."

The issue has never been about guns. Guns are merely tools.

Quote
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

everyone is happy I am there.
