Hello all, Just purchased a 84 FJ 1100 and I must say I wish I had got one sooner. What a bike. I haven't ridden a bike in about 11 years but this thing is such an easy, comfortable and forgiving bike not to mention bloody quick. Past bike's are Suzuki TS 185, Honda MT 125, Kawasaki Z 400, Yamaha SR 185 (hunk of junk that thing lol), Honda CBX 550, Kawasaki Z 650 wich was the last bike I rode before getting the FJ. I use the FJ mostly for my commute to work (100kms each way) but also find any excuse I can to ride it on days off as it is that much fun.

Welcome fellow Red and White FJ owner.... I got a screaming close-out deal on Alpine Star Track (Red) leather pants, later got the matching jacket, then..... Became the Red Power Ranger... I hope you fare better.... At least when I am on the FJ, the rest of the world becomes insignificant. Careful with moditus, I held off for many years till I bit the bullet and put a GSXR 5.5" rear wheel on.

In less than a year I had 89' forks
87/88 FZR1000 3.5" front wheel
Blue dot calipers
Glafer (knock off) rotors
SST brake lines
RPM fork valves
RPM fork brace
SupperTrap slip-ons
UNI pod air filters
Monkey made GPS mount

I am one happy Monkey now...
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
