Nice work alf , have sort of missed having one since my gsx , got used to it after 9 years, , now just rely on seat if the pants and listen to what the engine tells me  :good2:
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

FJmonkey

That would be great if I could program what is displayed for a given gear. 1, N, 2, K(ookaloo), 4, X.... I keep reaching for 6 dammit!!!
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Well, in fact is not much needed. fj11.5 is correct: you can drive the FJ in 5th all day long in a travel and in 3th in a curvy road, like in automatic
But looks good. I have to make another more clear pic, but the finish is "factory look"

I think I´m going to use more in my next yearly travel in Europe, when chasing traffic I´m always looking for 6th

Monkey majic and alf, you guys using 18/38 gearing, ive stopped searching for 6th gear since fitting them,,  :good2:

Alf your idea of using solvent to make a window in the instrument face is brilliant, a very good job :good2:

Hello Alf
How did you do it?
Do you have more pictures of the installation?
Where did you buy it?

Regards Niller

Question. Where did you get those great looking fork caps :)... ? I have seen them before on another local FJ but have been unable to locate any.

Agreed!
My 18/39 also has helped eliminate that pesky, non existant 6th gear!

Alf, your link doesn't seem to be working.

I'd like to read about your install.
