Put bike on center stand.
Remove chin fairing.
Get 2 adjustable jack stands.
Push down on rear seat, hold the front tire up...while someone places the stands under the frame rails.

would this warm my headers in anyway?

Your headers will run in between the rails underneath your engine and should not post any problems with the placement of jack stands. I would not suggest using a floor jack under your engine to lift the front of the bike as that may possibly damage your headers.

My bike did not come with a center stand when I purchased it. I found an inexpensive front and rear bike stand set on Ebay. Cost was around $80.oo. Both stands have worked very well.
