So our timing was great to take a family vacation to Transylvania at the end of October. We drove about 8 hours to get there. We visited "Dracula's Castle" (Bran Castle).

First item of interest was a Corvette in Budapest. They are kind of rare here with the massive VAT Hungary slaps onto imports.

On the way through Romania, there were cows wandering around through the villages.

Arrived in Transylvania during a full moon. So we found a spooky graveyard and snapped some photos.

Arrived at Bran Castle at night under a full moon.

The entry door.

The inner courtyard.

The bedroom.

Hidden stairway (looking down).

The top of the hidden stairway.

We stopped at a fuel station in Romania on the way back. I found Duralube for only $68 at the current exchange rate! I had to buy some oil. The cheapest I found was $20 / quart. OUCH! :negative:

Here's a short video I took driving through a Romanian village. In case you were wondering what that was like.

Nice thing about the old Warsaw Pact countries, they're unspoiled by progress.

I would love to visit Europe, especially on a motorcycle.
I don't need to know where I'm going, I only need to know where I've been.
