Can anyone tell me how much sea foam to put in the tank to store the bike for the winter, or should I use something else? I am wimping out as it only gets up to plus 10 or do during the day so that ends the riding season for me. Any and all help greatly appreciated  Thanks guys Big R.

I use StarTron  damn good stuff -seems to me.  He's what I do know, I had to clean the carbs on the little Ninja each and every spring, despite trying many different treatments, including Seafoam.  That was until I store the bike with StarTron in it.  Have not had to pull the carbs since, that was three seasons ago.

YRMV, but I doubt it.

+1 for StarTron.
Sea foam is a good top end cleaner....

Seafoam is not a fuel stabilizer, just a cleaner.  Use startron or marine stabil for storage (especialy with ethanol).  Marvel Mystery Oil will work, but not sure how well with ethanol.

:hi: I've used the fuel stabiliser from Canadian Tire for years, on all my rides, without any problems... :good2:

I put 4 oz into a full tank.... seems to work good for me....Although I pretty much start and warm up my bikes once per month in the winter....

Cheers!

Hey BigR

I use Yamaha brand fuel conditioner/stabilizer.  It works very well and is formulated for the gasolines of today.  The problem is the 10% or more ethanol that is in the gas as it appears to not keep as long.  Try also filling your tank with non-ethanol gas, (Chevron 94 octane).

I use Startron in my FJ, stabil in my other bikes all the time, every fill up. Don't have a problem with either product.
