So those of you that have done the Honda F4i shock mod., what mod. are you doing to the now nearly non-functional centerstand?
I put the stand on a 2x4 and bike sat up nicely with about 1 inch tire clearance and bike was solid once again.  With the centerstand down[no 2x4]  the rear still is on the ground and the bike could easily be tipped over as it rocks side to side very easily.
The 2 of my 2x4 measured 1.5 inches, so i am having a local machine shop add 1.5 inches to my stand just below the top mount where the tubes are round and can be cut and more length fitted there.  Looks like the ends of the stand will still clear the tire [stock rim/tire], but it puts the ends back much closer to the tire, for sure.
Spring will not be long enough, so a couple links of chain or something there to add length will be needed.

When I put that shock on my '91, and made dogbones short enough to bring the ride height to where I wanted, I found that the centerstand would foul the suspension bits and not retract up fully.  My 'solution' was to remove the centerstand.  I have a paddock stand and if I want to use the centerstand, I can just put the pivot bolts in.
My sidestand has been lengthened by about an inch.

Did you just weld a piece to your sidestand? Is the sidestand a cast piece?

thinking about adding extensions to the feet of the center stand ,
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

Yes, I welded a thick wall tube to the foot of the stand with a washer closing the tube.
Painted black, you don't notice it at all, except the bike isn't leaning at 45 deg :-)

A life has been well lived, if you have planted trees under who's shade you do not expect to sit.

I'm told I'm cynical, pessimistic and generally miserable. I say that I'm realistic! The fact that reality sucks is not my fault!
