Job Interview Today - Back to the U.S.?

Well, in the 3 years I've been here in Hungary, I am growing weary of the difficulties. Sure, there are a lot of positive things about living here, but in my heart I like to tinker with and modify my machines: motorcycles, cars, whatever. I even dropped a 350 V8 into a Chevy Astro Van in the U.S. a few years ago. What a rush!!! (click my website icon below my profile pic to see it) Hobbies like that are nearly impossible in Hungary. You can't repaint your car without the Mayor's written permission. You can't buy parts without your registration and VIN... and if it's not original, they won't sell it to you... and stuff like that. NO liberty. Not to mention my difficulties at work.

So I have a phone interview for a job similar to what I do now, but in Mississippi. It's in 2 hours. My wife is completely against this - she likes it here. I'm not sure how serious I am about this job, but I'll just play the game and see.

Interview in 2 hours. (popcorn)

P.S. - A BIG positive about living here is $20 to drag race ALL WEEKEND. No special license required, just sign a release form. :good2:

Good luck on the interview.

Hope it goes well and you get offered the Job.  Whether you take it or not, aka, can convince both yourself and, more importantly, your wife, is less important IMO, than the existential thrill of the offer itself.

Good luck.

Good luck with the job interview!  Hope you don't mind me asking, what do you do in Hungary?
A life has been well lived, if you have planted trees under who's shade you do not expect to sit.

I'm told I'm cynical, pessimistic and generally miserable. I say that I'm realistic! The fact that reality sucks is not my fault!

Cue tumble weed, church bell and wind blowing through.

If it's what you want, moving back to the U.S, then that will stand out in the interview.
In Hungary, you are different and exotic.
Do you really want to go back just yet?
Once more be just another guy?

Make up your mind. What do you want? Free will or a omnipotent policeman? You can't have both Kman.

Sorry, that Epicurus quote wasn't meant to go into that post.
Too late to edit it.
