Back, trailer unloaded and returned, ready for SNF.    :good2:

Covered all but two of (IMO) the best roads in the East, met a new FJer and many regulars, hoisted a few, ate birthday cake.

Good times.    :good2:

Great seeing everyone again as usual. Fantastic riding and weather for this one!

Nice ride through 360 with Kavin, Jim, and Andrew.  Nice deals gap ride but a bit of a Harley parade, also a wreck where a Harley and a wing met head-on. Injuries didn't appear life threatening. Kavin stopped for lunch at tail of the dragon, we kept rolling until waynesville. Andrew went east on 40, Jim and I went blue ridge pkw to 215 to 178. Chilly but pretty, I couldn't lean the bike so I was slow. Jim & I parted ways at sc 11.  That was pretty as ever, i fought traffic on i85, got home 6-ish.

Andrew just called, made it home 7:30, fighting chain issues and fueling issues. He had to buy tools and borrow a 24mm to adjust, and it's way loose again now. I think sprockets & o-ring chain will fix #1, and a petcock rebuild will fix the other.

Dave checked in from his moms outside Atlanta, apparently a gts1000 will wheelie if loaded sufficiently. (Hoffman, you interested now?)

Great to see you all again, those of you who missed it were missed.

More to follow in a day or two.

home @ 6:40.  Drama free trip.  Just took a long time, 11 hours!  Same route but I screwed around some, had a big breakfast in Waynesboro, stretched out for a while on some grass by a pond near Winston Salem a couple extra short stops here and there..  good ride though.  Good call not to make that morning side trip back through the Deals Gap w/ Carey and Henry or I'd be getting in about now.

The tptn KOA wasn't magic after all, Hunts Lodge worked out just fine.  Fun trip as always, good to see all you folks.  Can't believe I forgot my durn camera.  :dash1:  Y'all put up some pics.

A video of our Kookaloo! run on Wayah road would be good too... sadly all the go pro guys were too far behind us  :good2:.... great riding with you Danny!

We finally made it home about 10. I can't figure out the 12 hrs and why it takes so long.  Then started adding up all the little stops we made and that added up to about 2 hrs worth of messing around.

We didn't unload anything either. Just unhooked bike trailer and hooked up horse trailer. So this morning is going to be spent making multiple trips to go pick up my ponies!

Can't wait till Boone!

Yeah Frank, that was a fun run up Wayah.  We had fully achieved switchback zen and were one with the asphalt for a while there.   :good2:

GoPro on top of your head must cause too much wind drag?

Frank,  no go pro but the killboy pics from Friday are up.  Here's me and you from pic 470 - 488.  In the first set you appear to be stuck behind some 2 up couple sightseeing on an FZ1.

Hello everyone,
I arrived in the Bay Area earlier today (at my sainted mother's home), showered, had a rest & a great dinner.

Heading home (another 4 hours) later this evening.

Thanks to everyone with particular acknowledgements to both Nancy's.

On the way here (among other great sights) I especially enjoyed a fantastic sun down and was fortunate enough to experience an exceptionally satisfying run through the mountains on the western of Williams, AZ.

More over the weekend &n thanks again,

Mike Ramos.

Got home at 7PM, which was great because my Aleve wore off : )

Got home just after dark tonight rode last 5 miles in dark. My head light decided to quit after 2436 miles just to make the home coming exciting. My first rally was great. Great meeting everybody. Thanks for making the newbee feel like he was with long time friends. The roads down there are awesome. The dragon is the perfect road.(rode it on the way out) I'll be back again.
Thanks again for all the help everybody gave the newbee
