Those look like shiny new carbs & air filters as well. Have you gotten a chance to take it for a spin yet?

Haven't taken it for a ride yet Randy, fired it up yesterday, started fairly easily and sounded good but pumped a heap of oil on shed floor via clutch rod before I realised what was happening, going to put all clutch and brake parts in today, hopefully ride then.

Losing the ball this way seems rare, you should be fine. When the clutch slave is back on the clutch should feel normal, if the the lever feels light then you might have a problem.

On a different subject have any of you guys done the ride from conus to Alaska , Gunna do that soon as I can, I'm hoping it will be as good as I imagine it will be

When the ball fell out of mine, the slave piston bottomed against the cover and the lever was immobile.... Found the ball in the sump, I had the clutch apart to replace the shifter return spring.

Did you lose the ball the same way, starting with the slave off?

Nope, the slave didn't need to come off so it stayed bolted on. Probably why the ball fell out, the spring in the slave probably pushed it out... after I got it all back together, the lever was like a rock, wouldn't move at all. Finally figured it out, after looking at an exploded view. Took the clutch cover back off and the pressure plate off... no ball, found it just under the clutch in the sump.

Thanks, the mystery continues, can one loose the ball by shooting it out with the push rod????

I think it is a larger diameter than the rod, but haven't measured them....  I don't think it'll fit thru the hole.
