Hi,
I did the F4 shock mod and it is working great. The problem is that when I was working on it, one of the metal cylinders came out of the needle roller bearing on the linkage. It is the cylinder # 15 position on the microfiche. I placed it back for the time being and when I put it back together I found that it had fallen out again. I definately need a new one so I would like to change both sides of course. Can someone tell me what the dimensions are. I believe I know part of it which is 18mm ID x 24mm X ?. Unless I am completely off, all I need is the width. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Just to be clear on this, did the entire bearing fall out, or just one of the needle rollers fell out? The bearings are press fit and should never fall out. I have had the needle rollers fall out. I have a few spare bearings and I sure I have that one. Yam number 93315-31841-00 right?

It was the one of the needle rollers that fell out. Luckily I found it on the floor. I had put it back in when it fell out once. I believe that it is the same one that fell out. So I could just put it back and be careful when putting back the rod? If so that would be great.

A little fresh grease will help hold them in place. This is the best time for maintenance. Hope this helps.

I pulled the rod and I was putting in the roller and there was another one that dislogged. I was actually lucky to find it on the ground.  I used a 12mm socket to seat them. Once that was done, I noticed that there was another one missing. I was not able to see that because of the grease that was there before. So to sum it up, I am missing one roller now. I was wondering if FJmonkey could send me one or maybe two just in case. How much do you want for them plus shipping of course. Also would it be that bad riding like this for the time being. I am not hard on the bike.

Thanks,
Mark

I am at work right now programming a welding robot. When I get home I will have a look and get back to you. If I have it is yours for a fair price. I decided to have then on hand when I removed the swing arm to do my GSXR rear wheel upgrade, nobody in the country had them. A bearing shop near my work could get them the quickest. Only the price for two was the same for five. Then the same thing happened to me. One needle fell out and I found it. During reassembly I saw that I was still missing two. Good thing I got them before starting the job, might have missed the first WCR I was planning to attend. Then I forgot my riding boots, notice my avatar has my feet cut off?

I put the bike in the back of my truck. It was a 13 hour drive and I did not have enough rear tire left. As it was the rear was bald after the verry little ridding we did in the rain.

FJmonkey is this how you ended up wearing moon boots? How did the FJ shift in those moon boots?

Kurt
No problems shifting, feet stayed warm even though my feet felt naked. It was distracting when I though about how little protection my feet had. The last rally was much better, I rode the FJ so I had to have my boots on.

Funny thing, when I was packing for the rally I thought about packing my older pair of boots just in case someone might need them. Had plenty of room in the truck for them. Turns out someone really could have used them.  :dash1: Oh well, it was a good source of humor for the club...

Does the '89 use the same rollers?       :unknown:

If so, I have a few here, too.

I am looking for two if possible just to be on the safe side.
