USA States Visited Maps (what criteria?)

Hi there. I see many people have a map of the US with states filled in with colors. I used to have one of these on my camper. My question is this, on THIS FORUM do you fill in ALL the states you ever visited, or the ones you drove to, or the ones you rode a motorcycle to, or is it ONLY the ones you rode an FJ to? Those are very different maps for me.

Thanks!

I believe most of the forum members post the maps of where they have ridden on a motorcycle in general.......Thats what mine has on it.

If I only had where I rode the FJ, I would have to remove NY. I didn't own her until I lived in AZ.

If I posted every state I have ever visited in general, it would be completely full, minus about 5 states.

Thanks Alan! I want to do one of these. Where do you get the maps? Everyone seems to have the same outline.

Hey Alan, how did you ride from Arizona to Colorado without going through Utah or New Mexico?

I didn't actually ride it to Colorado............I trailered it behind my Wife's vehicle last summer when we moved up here, so I didn't count New Mexico as ridden yet.

Okay, I got my map! Now how do I add pictures to my account? And how do I then add them to my signature line?

Thanks again everyone! I'm almost there!

Add to your profile signature using the "insert image" button

I got in there and was able to change my signature message but I don't see an "Insert Image" button or anything like it. I tried to just drag and drop it but it didn't go. I'm in the "Forum Profile Information" page. Am I in the wrong place? Is this button missing for Mac users perhaps?

Thanks again!

I think I misled you on the insert image button, You need to insert the address of your image in your signature.  but it has to be in between the letters and brackets that come up when you click insert image on a regular post.............. like this without the spaces of course [im g] [/im g]

Okay, I got the IMG things in there, and I drug the image location onto it, but now it just shows a question mark box....

Thanks for all the continued support! Sorry this is so hard for me! I don't have any kids to help me out!

Yea Monkey, I been on Mac for five years now. I had PCs before that but they don't work to well for me. PCs are prone to file corruption and I am prone to bad luck so PCs were always a problem. And my PCs only lasted a couple years before catastrophic failure, my Macs last about five, so they're a lot cheaper for me. The system is intuitive. And if you like the Iphone a good half of your functionality is lost if your computer is a PC. My calendar and music sync up without any effort. There are many things I hate about the Mac but going to PC won't solve them. I think the best thing for Mac would be some competition in their market, like with the PC. Then you would see cheaper options.

BTW Monkey, I think we exchanged phone numbers in the past as I was going to come visit your area and you said I could call for on the road tech support. I lost my old phone so I lost your number (and your real name). Any chance I can hassle you for that again?

I had to go to the "Gallery" button at the top of the page. Then I had to stumble around in the dark adding the picture everywhere I could until I managed to get a direct link to it and paste that in my signature line between the "IMG" things. I don't know why my picture has "FJ owners" on top of it and no one else does but I guess I'm good enough for now.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Your picture has FJOwners on it because it is hosted here.
Mine in hosted through photobucket, hence the difference.

Glad you got it.
My GOD, you have really covered the country on your bike!
Nice going!
