hi all,i am having a problem bleeding the rear caliper of my 85 that i recently rebuilt.i cant get the fluid from the resovoir to the claiper,  i have tried depressing the brake lever and a vacuum bleeding tool.all i get is air.getting a little perplexed here.the brakes are original no mods, any ideas would be greatly appreciated

When I use my Mity Vac to pull a vacuum at the caliper, some Teflon tape on the brake bleeder nipples helps keep the air from drawing in around the loose threads.
Double check your crush washers. Use new washers or apply some heat to soften your old washers before re-use.

Did you get the seals in correctly on your rebuild?  Hope this helps.

ill try that ,thanks,i think the master cylinder might be the culprit though

Another little trick is to attach a length of vacum hose to the bleeder, take the cap off the resavoir and open the bleeder until fluid runs out. It will speed up the process.

+1 if you put a open half hitch in the line and put the other end into a small can, gravity will beed the line in very little time. I was able to rebuild Dave's clutch slave cylinder and bleed in less than 45 minutes.

ok,i have the master cylinder out and it appears to be siezed, how would i get it apart??

in the  plunger end where the lever pushes , should be a circlip  under the rubber cover bugger to get to , but circlip pliers help
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
