Paint?

My bike is missing the chin spoiler, Airtech Streamlining makes a new one, so next pay day I've been thinking about buying it, the more I look at the bike the more I think it looks odd without that spoiler on the front, didn't mind it when I first bought it. But I'm financially.... tight at the moment (bought more stuff for my Suzuki, a new exo1000 helmet, and a tank bag for the FJ), and can't afford to take it to a body shop for color matching paint, anyone know where I can buy a pre-mixed aerosol can perhaps? I'd coat it in 2k clear and everything, so it wouldn't be too terrible of a finish. Planning to paint it white, color code for that?

Thanks in advance!  :good2:

Hi Musicman. You play?

I've had some good results with ColorRite paint. A bit expensive though. They can color match your paint scheme no problem. Good luck.

You can get the color codes in the "Running Problems" Thread on this site. Take the color codes to an O'Rielly's auto parts store, that has a paint department and they can match the paint for you. For about $25.00 they will mix a small amount of paint, reducer, and hardner. They also have an aerosol spray pack that will work to spray the paint.

This is what I did when I re-built/repaired my chin fairing. Is not a rattle can paint, but if you or anyone you know is handy with a spray gun, this is a cheaper alternative to going the whole route of the original tri-color(pearl) paint. Was a bit of work but well worth it. Especially if you are starting with a new clean slate.
