carb heat shield

Hey- when I put my rebuilt carbs back in, I forgot to re-install the carb heat shield. There it is sitting on the shelf.  Is anyone running their bikes without a heat shield?  Bike runs fine without it as far as i can tell, even in the 90-95 daytime temps we have been having here.

It's there for a reason. Bite the bullet and put it back on.

Besides, they're pretty expensive if you have to replace it. Why risk the possibility of throwing it away?

Could cause vapor locking. Re-install the heat shield. Hope this helps.  :unknown:

I wonder if the heat shield is like underwear, Commando or not? Will it chafe if I go sans??? Does it bite and bind when I need to focus on the next corner..... Will Pine cones sense my weakness and attack? Does the Pink stripe make my ..... Oh hell, never mind.... Only the Pink strippers will ever know.  :empathy:
