Hey guys I am in a bit of a spot. The battery in my 85 FJ is fried  :bomb: and needs to be replaced immediately. Problem is that one of the PO's took out the original battery box and stuffed in a larger battery that fits just within the frame. so that now the tube frame on either side hold the battery in place. I want to have it like it is supposed to be. Is there I way I can strap the right size battery down until I can get a battery box made or can find one? Or do I have to just replace the bigger non standard one? This is my main mode of transportation at the moment so waiting to get the box then the battery is not a viable option at the moment. Any ideas on what to do about this and how to go about it would be very appreciated! Thanks in advance! (and yes I most likely will need to replace the voltage regulator, so will order from Randy next pay check.)

I just send you a response to your email as well, I have requested the price of the new battery box.

If you can strap the battery in there and keep it from bouncing around until you get the battery box you should not have any problems.

Thanks Randy got the email. And we'll see how much it turns out to be. In the mean time I'll see what I can use to stap a new battery in. Thanks!

Ok new correct size AGM battery is strapped into bike with those heavy duty rubber bungees! :i_am_so_happy: My question is do I need to trickle charge battery first before using it like I did with the previous unsealed acid battery?  :scratch_one-s_head:
