Here is some pics from Dover,they figuered 150000+..I got there @ 10 am and parked 5 blocks away.

I wasn't there this year, but at least my FJ was ... lent it to my brother inlaw....he had a blast.

I didn't get down until after 4 pm.  Only saw one FJ and that was in the Simcoe Boston Pizza lot on the way by.  The crowd was thining out by then and we got a good parking spot...just in time to see a Harley rider dump his bike...lots of busker's on the street, lots of beer/band stages throughout the town.
 
Way too many Harley's...I'd say over 90%.

And all the crazy's also..the thong guy was there again parading around in nothing but a thong and a smile...he's way too old, and it was way too hot a day..things we're really hangin low....scarey.  Most chicks weren't much better.  I'd say the majority otta not show so much skin, they were way too old and should've known better.  One women was dressed in leopard skin, tight shorts, knee high boots, long mane flowing off of her helmet, and driving one of those VW trike things...onece again, scarey.

I was at Dover as well - arrived around 11:30 with my brother and two other riders. Saw two FJs parked beside eachother on St. Andrew Street. I believe they were 89's (black/blue). We left the madness around 3:00. Got stuck in stop-n-go traffic on our way in and had to shut down my bike a couple times to keep it from overheating. What a zoo!!!

I just never understood the fascination with these rallies, just not my speed I guess.  There is no riding to be done anyway. Plus, any event that is 90% Harleys is not my cup of tea...

Got to ride a harley today.  It was an experience.  And not a particularly good one.  It definitely didn't fit the bill of "like really fast man!" either.  A vmax would slaughter it in a straight contest, and my wife's little VF700 would have been a good fight for it.  The vibration quite literally put my feet to sleep, the handling was terrifying, the brakes worked but only just, and the ergonomics.....imaginne riding a birthing chair (google for lithotomy position!) down the road.

What kind of morons....

In fairness, I did ride a Hardley Street-Rod (the FI, liquid cooled, Porche built 'metric Harley') a couple of years back for 2,500 miles or so all over WA, ID, BC, AB, and it lacked in many many ways but the damn thing excelled in passing cars.  I must of passed 1,000 cars that trip.  The riding position was about the best Harley offers, better than a Sportster, I can tell you.   However, stuff did literally vibrate off, and handling was fairly horrible, brakes were marginal, and it's weight could be felt, even at speed, but I did not complain, as I was on a motorcycle through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.  So you see, we all can get along, as long as we do not actually need to be around each other...

I test rode a harley some years ago and was impressed not in a good way. It seamed to be everything the FJ is not. Besides a motorcycle that needs to be ridden more than twelve miles before in can be delivered (new bike) makes me wonder why? If harley doesn't have any more confidence in there motorcycle than that why should I?
