So It looks like the Tellico Plains KOA might not be ready for us for the fall rally. I saw some people are reserving kabins at some lodge in Tellico but what about us people who want to camp? I will be towing my own RV this year and would like to be near the group. So I guess does anyone have a back up campground in mind? Are we all hoping the KOA will be up and running by then? I haven't seem much talk about were the group will be staying.

Hunt's Lodge is where I have it set up. Even though they aren't a campground like the KOA with hookups and such, I'm sure if you call Lori or Jack they will try to accomodate you. They definitely a motorcycle campground and Lori has even offered to cook supper for us on Saturday night if we want (for a fee of course). I have been to a rally  at her campground and enjoyed their hospitality and they really try to be helpful.

From what I've heard, no the KOA will not reopen this season.

Thanks for info Nancy. I guess I will have  to call them and see if they could atleast set us up with water and electric with our camper.

Ok Nancy I talked with Lori at Hunt's lodge and she can accomadate more than one RV with electric and water. So that is great news so Michelle and I will be able to stay with the group. We also have some friends coming up from Goergia with an RV so they will be all set as well. The last fall rally I attended my friend Dave Hoffman (on a Suzuki Bandit) came. He also came to the first Spring FJ rally I attended at Deals Gap. I'm sure the regulars will remember him. Dave and his wife will be coming with bike and RV. Can't wait to see everyone.

Well all I can tell you is once you go to a FJ rally you will be hooked. You will want to do it year after year. My first FJ rally was 2001 and I have been attending a FJ rally ever since. It hasn't always been the same one but I go to atleast one of them. It is always the best time on two wheels. The roads down south are just awesome riding. The people you meet at the rallies are always the best part.
