That is raw power being delivered from the bike to your body.

Id like an answer on this too although I always thought it was just nature of the beast.

Sync your carbs, otherwise rubber mount your engine or replace your mounts. Maybe it is your Kookaloo talking to you?
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I was leaning toward engine mounts too but it hasn't got quite so aggravating to me just yet

put your heels back on the rests and just keep your toes on the pegs.... the pegs are rubber mounted and will absorb a lot of vibration.  Maybe your rubbers are perished a bit? I dont recall if they are replaceable or not.

sync'ing the carbs also does wonders for vibration issues on early models... what year is your FJ ?

Kookaloo!

I'm driving a 86 and this vibration was not this intense when I first got it and bike was not run much before I got it,so I'm trying to cover several areas when it go's in Tues

Check the bolts that attach the frame down tubes. The two rear bolts can come loose and even brake. You will have to remove the "bracket", the alloy castings that support the pasanger pegs and exhaust system. Every FJ I've worked on has had this problem. I think it would be smart to drill and safety wire these bolts.

I checked the chain tension, was loose so I adjusted it and and went for a ride and was better,I left what I thought as proper tension,my buddy said my chain was moving quite a bit while under load,so I'm  adding this to to-do list on Tues at shop, going to replace chain and front sprocket and have wheel bearings checked, if vibration persist I'll start a new plan of action, crossing those off list and move on to what it could be next
