rear sprocket

I've just replaced the 16" rear wheel for a 17" YZF 600 thundercatwith a 170*60*17 could anyone give mealittle advise on the tooth requirement for   the rear sprocket to maintain the same gearing.

You've functionally added one to the back.

If you had 17/40, go 17/39 to retain the same gearing.  One tooth though, really?  Don't bother, it's close enough.

Hi, what is involved in getting the thundercat wheel to work for you?

8mm off the lefthand spacer,8mm off the FJ brake mount and 3mm off the sprocket carrier face,took 30minutes in the machineshop,very easy mod,looks good,feels good on the road too.

had 17/41 will go 17/41 just to pep the delivery up and see if  i like it if not i'll  go 17/40

There are other swaps that also work, depending on your level of mechanical ability and what's available for you.
