 so sorry to hear this
gentle exercise for the muscle injuries to keep them from siezing, but if it hurts a lot then your probably pushing it too hard
as for the bike, if it was on its side with a fuel pump running one of the cylinders could have been flooded or if the rocker cover is completely stoved in it could be fouling a valve
Personally I would just let the insurance sort it all out....     although they seem to write a lot of easily repairable vehicled off for what seems minor damage
Hope you recover quickly

These are the worst post to see but the game we play has these risk. Glad it was not more serious and wish you a speedy recovery!

Take it easy for a while and let things heal. I'm glad to see you in all your gear! I had a crazy driver hit me from behind back in 1987 and it took 2 years to be back at 100%. It's not fun, but it sure beats the alternative.

Insurance company paid out more than I thought they would for the bike. I bought it back. I fretted about buying it back at the time, as I thought the engine may have been damaged, but it wasn't :good2:

I am OK now, got paid for personal injury and for loss of earnings, and damage to my bike kit.

Still not quite got over having anyone tailgating me though.

Good to hear that you were compensated to your satisfaction, really rare these days. I know it does not make it all better but I am sure it helps. Thanks for the update.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
