I am swapping out the original lower cases on my 92 FJ1200 as they were damaged by a broken chain before I bought the bike.  I obtained a set of lower cases off an XJR and have been told that there are a couple parts that I need to exchange to make the swap.  Can anyone give me a list of things that I would need to perform the case swap?  I know that the clutch push rod is longer and I need to get an XJR push rod but other than that I am not sure.  Also, if people have or know where I can get the parts to do the swap and could help me with this I would appreciate it!!  thanks

You need to use all the FJ1200 parts inside the newer XJR cases. you should be fine if you do.

The XJR outer cases on the left side are approximately 8mm wider if I am not mistaken- not sure if the case halves themselves are wider.  If you are using the XJR sprocket cover you will need an XJR pushrod for the clutch and an XJR Shift rod - both of which have the extra 8mm.

I believe the cases are the same, it's the trans that's diff. Use all your stuff, or you will have the wrong offset to the rear wheel. Unless you are doing a rear wheel mod then you may want that 8mm offset.
