I just recently got my FJ1100. It had been sitting for awhile, probably six months to a year, maybe longer. It did fire right up after getting a charger on the battery. The idle was real low and I figured that the carbs would need cleaned. I bumped the idle up to 1000rpm, put some seafoam in along with a fresh tank of gas. It stumbled at low rpm was pretty sluggish until the rpm's got to about 4000. I was riding it today (about 165 miles later) and the idle finally came up to about 1800. I backed it down to 1000 again and WOW this thing is a rocket.  :yahoo:. It pulls very strong from idle to redline. The idle sounds great. Not sure how many of you have used seafoam but I am a believer now.

I run it through my bike and autos every few months.  Make sure you use the appropriate Seafoam mixture because this stuff definitely causes a chemical reaction.  I have been using Seafoam in my Bikes and cars for nearly 10 years and I have had no fuel or mechanical difficultlies, just normal maintenance. It is good stuff, it can be used in the crankcase, and is good for breaking down carbon in the combustion chamber. I highly recommend the product.
