This actually happened on the weekend but anyway. I went for a ride with 2 members from my club, one guy riding a 2009 gsxr1000 and a lady riding a 2010 zx14r.

I really felt the front end all wobly around some bumpy corners, but she stuck more or less to the surface. What surprised is down a really long straight I attempted to overtake a car in my lane and the lady on the ninja was just behind me. I moved to her lane when lo and behold she did not want to let me pass. with both of us sitting on wfo throttle we were riding right next to each other until I finally chickened out and let her get ahead.

As I said, really surprising to see the FJ keep up with a zx14r from 100km/h to 180km/h when I had a pillion with me.(60mp/h to 112mp/h). Made me proud to own an FJ and the lady herself was quite surprised.

One thing for sure is I nearly shat myself when I saw the speedo  fastest I have ever been on the FJ
Life behind bars - is actually quite thrilling

Some folks just don't want to be passed. I was on ride today on a local canyon road (to Crystal Lake). I came up on a young guy on a newer Honda 600 sport bike, pretty trick looking. He was going real slow. I stayed behind him for awhile, expecting a "go ahead" wave. To no avail. He seemed pretty uneasy so I just backed way off to give him some room and avoid making him nervous. I assumed he was new rider. It was not far to the top. We got there about the same time. Gave him "how ya doing". He did not seem to want to chat. He left pretty quickly, a few minutes later I headed down too. Caught up with him, and again he was real slow. This time on long strait I passed, with nod. So now he is staying with me. Not real close. But pacing me a comfortable distance behind. WTF. I'm just an average rider myself, does he want to race?  If he got any closer I was going to signal him to pass. At the bottom of the hill at red light,  he starts telling that this was his first time on the bike since a crash on the same road, car turned in front of him. I says Ah OK. I did not understand why you were going so slow until I passed you. He replies "I needed someone to show me it was OK to go faster". I said "that's cool, but kind of weird, glad your back on the bike . Next time wave the faster rider by" and and we go are separate ways.

We all know the FJ does well ( everything at least a 7 ) but when it comes to top speed riding.. I rate it a 10.  180kph is cruising speed.  While the top speed is much better on the ZX -- I doubt the rider will ever take it there but I have had no issues taking my FJ to there limit.  Except for the bouncing speedo at top speed the rest is pure fun.  Make sure you have a clear stretch... and be safe as you can.
