Thanks for the concern. It was wild yesterday tornados all over Dallas and East Texas there is video online of some 18 wheelers being tossed in the air like toys shows the real power of mother nature. I'm about 50 -70 miles SE of Dallas I rode the Fj to work yesterday and got home about an hour before the shit hit the fan here. We had a little hail,wind and rain but no tornados in Athens.

Hi Pat, thanks for the concern.  It was some very nasty stuff (again).

I'm still here.  Lots of heavy rain at work, but fortunately no hail or tornadoes.  Most of the destruction occurred about 5 miles south of where I work, then proceeded to the east.  I work near Love Field, the downtown Dallas airport, they evacuated the terminals and the tower.  My wife spent most of the afternoon huddled in a vault, without any lights/power at a business in Arlington (which is where about 200 homes were damaged).

Heavy rain at home and some light hail, but no tornadoes there either.  I'm getting kind of wary of dodging these things over the last 50+ years.  I hope my weather luck continues to hold!

"They" said the storms were going to be severe, but the chances of tornaodes were supposed to be minimal.  I was more worried about the usual springtime baseball and grapefruit-sized hail beating my poor truck to a pulp than tornadoes.  In typical weatherman fashion, they missed it big time.

I'll take earthquakes any day  except I have to put up with Governor Moonbeam and a bloated liberal state government...

....now that I think about it, tornadoes and grapefruit sized hail may not be so bad after all....

I was at the BNSF headquarters in N. Ft. Worth when the tornado sirens started going off.  My co-workers thought it was just the wind and didn't believe me.  Then we were told there were two tornados on the ground.

We had three planes ready to depart from Meacham airport, but they were pushed into hangars and didn't depart for a while. Also had three board members stuck at DFW airport.

Don't think I've ever seen rain like that before.  Two co-workers and I were heading back to our hotel in Ft. Worth and there was so much water the right lane of streets were not able to be diven in because they were a river of water.

Saw on the news no one was killed which is an amazing thing all in it self.

For those in Texas, I didn't make mention of being in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area since I knew I wouldn't have any time to meet up with folks.  I was on a business trip that kept me very busy.
