I have one in the works.  Most other forums I'm on have a "projects" section.

I'll throw it on here somewhere.  I just can't figure out which would be the best place to post it.

I've got a few as well.  FJ needs some more attention.  I've got a new 'fridge coming, and have to rework the kitchen cabinets to fit the new 'fridge.  Then there's the home audio system that's off-line ...

I couldn't find where to post most of these either  :mail1:

I just made a list last week of 27 projects that need to be done around the house, the largest being new roof shingles (40 square) this spring and the smallest being to clean out the air exchanger filters.

Or are we talking about FJ projects. ?  I've got a couple of those going too..  a front and rear wheel swap in the works and yesterday I made a wrench that will reach and adjust the Penske collar with an Allen wrench JB welded to the end of it to loosen and secure the set screws.

Maybe we need 2 project categories./ FJ and non FJ--or would the non-FJ  be getting away from the intent of the forum??

Remember when we used to call them stereos?  :pardon:

Being a home owner is all about projects and upkeep. I do it all around my 1/3rd acre and it's a handful. Mostly yard work as the house is now just 3 years old.

I also have built 1 solar panel with 2 more planned to run the pool pump. I have a 3000w inverter and a solar battery tender ready in the wings. I am no electrician and will be needing one when time comes to take the pump off the house current.

That was rather my point.  Are we talking about FJ related projects?  Something else?  Perhaps something else should be somewhere else ...

Would be great to have a category dedicated to FJ related projects, full with write-ups, pictures, forum guidance and inspiration...
I know this can be found around the forums as it is, but it would be great if it could be collected and encouraged!

Just my 2ยข!

Great Idea!  I just created one.

Moderators: there are several threads around here that would be a perfect fit for this category - please help me to move them over.

Or better yet - everyone else: if you know of a topic that should be moved to this new category - please "FLAG" it with a note that it should be moved over to the Projects category and we'll move it over - thanks in advance everyone!

Awesome!  Dig the build threads!

Here is my latest project. I wanted to run my pool pump off of it so I could lower our electric bill.
I built these solar panels myself and mounted them on my shed.  I get over 18VDC at 10 amps from these:

I added a couple of 6v batteries in series.

And a solar charger to keep the voltage at 14VDC max and the inverter:

It won't run the pump in it's current (excuse the pun) configuration. I need to add another set of batteries. I have upgraded the inverter to a 3000 Watt from the 1500W. I have mowed the yard and vacuumed the house as it sits, but it needs to run the pool pump.

I get the 2nd set of batteries tomorrow. I hope this will be enough to drive the pump.

Wish me luck.
