That's kinda what I was thinking... it's changed so much over the years.     :empathy3:

Thanks for posting that Randy. I thought I wanted to try that on a quiet day, but not if there's big rig on it.

There are signs at each end to warn the truckers, but every once in a while some knucklehead decides to try it anyway.

Sometimes, they meet other knuckleheads.

I've always said the same thing, from my first ride on the Dragon. I'm not the fastest thing on two wheels, plus I have a very low tolerance for knuckleheads, crowds, squids, and general bad behavior. It's a cool stretch of road, but it's overpopulated, and that's what makes it dangerous.

this post tells of a truck ban so maybe the big riggers can't run anymore ... anyone know if its better from the truck stand point

Just ran The Dragon yesterday as part of my (now estimated) 10,000 mile trip.  It was everything they say it is and I had a blast.  I had the road to myself for the first 10 miles and only had a rabid pack of three motard riders catch up to and pass me in the last mile.  I stuck to their tail pretty well right up to the gas station.  What a blast!
