Can anybody tell me if the older subframes of non-ABS bikes will work to replace the one on my '92?

I don't think so but I am not sure.
I suspect that the 1990 and earlier are not compatable, with no provisions for mounting brackets for the ABS module and accessories.

The 1992 and 1993 ABS FJ's share the same frame part # 3YA-21190-00-33

The 1991 and 1992 Non ABS shows a different part # 3XW-21190-00-33

The 1989-1990 FJ's  shows # 3CV-21190

The 1986-1987 FJ shows # 1TX-21190-00-33

And I know for a fact that the 1984/85 FJ1100 subframes are different that all the above.. Hope this helps. Pat
