1986 interchange?

I have looked at the parts lists, and have a question. Will the air oulets (inner cowel along sides of tank) off an '89 fit my 1986? I don't understand what 3CV and 1TX stand for. Thanks

According to the part numbers, no.

1TX = 86 + 87 model
3CV = 89 + 90 model
3XW = 91 - 93 model
