Today I finally replaced the rotors for EBC (OEM or as close to) rotors, fitted blue spot XJR calipers, Had stainless braided lines made, fitted XJR master cylinders and levers,
dry-fitted foam pods ( ordered new jets etc from Randy)
Removed rear brake line ready for fitting stainless braided line.
Started headlight mod.

enough for now

You are going to love the blue dots!  :dance2:

I hope so. I think the braided lines will make a huge difference too. I can have them made locally to road-legal Australian Standards so I'll replace the rear line as well. The rear brake is actually pretty good considering so I'll leave that as is.

Ordered some more parts for the carbs from Randy today as well as the spin on filter adaptor and chrome filter. Will look at installing a larger oil cooler later.

Next stop will be re-covering the seat and then overhauling the engine.
I have a feeling Randy will be getting a lot of business from me. As soon as the Cougar is sold I'll have more money to spend upgrading the bike.

I've bought a light truck with a crane as well. It was used to transport spas but I'm thinking about setting it up to pick up other things as well. Maybe bikes if I can sort out a good system for loading them. The crane would come in useful for retrieving crashed bikes.

you will love the brake changes, just be prepared to wipe the inside of your visor more often, the gooshy stuff your eyes leave after a hard stop is a bastard to wipe off
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it
