Hey guys,

at first I`ll wish a you a merry Christmas and a happy new year to all. And sorry for my bad English  :wacko3:
`
Now to my person. I`m  Ottmar (49 years old/joung) from germany and I`ll drive a FJ 1200 (3CW) for a couple of years. Before I go with a XTZ 750 Super Tenere for 93.000 km without any mistakes. I`m a federal police officer.

I`still reading here sometimes for technical information of the FJ 1200. Some guys here can be very proud of them bikes.
You can see some pictures of my bike at the gallery.
So go one and have a good time with your bikes.

greets from Germany

Welcome to the best site for M/Cs Ottmarr

At 49 you should fit right in here. :shok:
Riding in germany must be great. It's been 30 years since I've been but wow the roads.
My mothers side is from the Karlsruhe/Hiedelshiem area. I would love to go back as a adult, I didn't appreciate it enough back then.

Thanks to all for your wellcome words on this day. :drinks:

tranlation for german speakers:

Danke euch für das herzliche Willkommen in diesem Forum.
Ein Gedankenaustausch wäre nett, da es auch in Deutschland viele Liebhaber der FJ 1100/1200 gibt.

Welcome mate.

Have you been to Ausfahrt?

Apparently all roads lead to Ausfahrt because that's where i kept being taken to in 2008 on the XS1100 International Rally at Lorelei Rock. :sarcastic:

All the best.  :hi:

Yes, the first time I went to Germany I thought "Ausfahrt" must be a huge town I'd never heard of since it was signed from everywhere. Also when I stopped my bike in a town I made note of the street name so I could find it again. The street was called "Einbahnstrasse".

Yes, in german it means "one way street"   and if you come from the wrong site of the street you met a lot of ughly people in front of you  :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
