:hi: to everyone, found you lot this morning & just had to sign up ! I'm now 48 or sumth'n & been ridi'n since I was about 8 years old(can't stop ) I've allways liked the look of the FJ, but never rode one, then saw the ausie legends out at Willowbank a while back & was blown away!! :bomb: 2 years ago I saw a 94 FJ at me local yamy shop &just bought it on the spot :wacko3: (Didn't tel the missus, thats another story ! ) Now I confess I love my Ducatis, but the FJ is just so versitile, I do love it most, it gets up & goes to work every day & never complains (unlike me :shout:) I would like to know why the forks have NO OIL DRAIN HOLES in them  :dash1: & can this be modified by drilling & tapping a thread !!! when I asked my spare parts man & mechanic they just looked at each other & laughed  ( must be some long standing Yamaha JOKE!!! ) Any way I'm gonna try to get to the Sunny Coast next year & meet you all, Merry Christmas to all, Stay Safe & Happy

Abuse the fork seals, they will drain just fine..... :sarcastic: Welcome to the Kookaloo zone of FJ fun....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Both of my FJs have oil drain holes in the forks.  '85 & '93. Don't know why a '94 wouldn't also have them. Look a little closer.

They will be toward the bottom of the fork. :-)

I`ll be stretching my FJ (2) legs in the Adelaide Hills (and Vineyards :dance2:) over Christmas & will pm you on return around 1st weekend in January. Doug

Is it maybe possible that your FJ does not have original FJ forks?...Just guessing here, I have never looked for the drain hole but it is possible with all the crazy mods the owners do to the FJ you dont have originals..
