Another one of these.

Of the 30 or so bikes I've had, some of them very nice, that is the one I really wish I still had.

You could make it street legal in most of the world by adding some lights, indicators, and a horn.
Your sticking point in the US is that its a 2-stroke over 50cc.  But, it would frustrate the hell out of you on the street with its tiny fuel tank, lack of seat, and low top speed potential.
That said, its a whole lot of specialized bike for the $ he's asking.

If I could make it street legal I would want something like this.
2000 Sherco 2.5 ( 250 ) Trials - $1800 (Wonder Lake, Il.)

I am a big 2 stroke fan, I would actually love to have a RG500 Gamma

or a RZV500.

Do the suspension and maybe breath on the motor a little.  New wheels would have to be added as well.

These 2 bikes would surely put a smile on my face,

Mine wasn't the cleanest (not pictured, stole this pic off ebay), fastest or best handling bike around,,,,,,, but there was just something about it (at least in my memory,,, can't remember why I sold it).  They appear to be worth some pretty big money now!

I have a friend who's brother died 5 years ago and owned an 81 and 82CBX, Very, very low mileage from what I understand. They have been sitting for about 6 years now but are being moved. The keys are gone but from what I heard today the titles have been located. Both are going to be sold as soon as the title/key issues are worked out.

Arizona allows us to make them legal....  I love living in a free state. Hell, I don't even have a horn on my WR, all I had to do was add a brake light, license light, and left mirror...   :drinks:  Yamaha has a dual filament socket in the tail light housing, all I did was wire it in.

I always thought (imagined?) that I could hear the carbs sucking air too.

Yup, love that 6 cylinder howl, even from a Honda :ireful:.  The Kawi 6 never had it.  Even the NR-500 http://world.honda.com/MotoGP/history/NR500/didn't have it.
