Hi one & all.

Who has what booked at the B&B ??

I have a spa room held (deposit not paid as yet) waiting to see what Bunk rooms with showers are left.

Are all the held Bunk rooms filled? as I may take 1 to fill the booking.

Not being unsociable but I will take a room on my own, shared on trips before & been bitten 

Been hard to get a e-mail reply from them.. I rang quite a few times and have booked and payed for a spa room now. Will be dragging the Wife along on this one...

Howdy all. I've got to ring and make sure accom is there etc, who is going up on the Friday?. I might take an early mark from work and go up Friday arvo yet. Hopefully in a couple of weeks all of this torrential rain will have knicked off and the sun will be back for that weekend.

Book that early Mark Ray. So far there`s 7 booked in for Friday night and a total of 14 for Saturday Night.  I emailed & Phoned the homestead and got this reply.........

Gunna give her some space till monday, but I can tell ya it`s going to be Rich & green at our Sunny Hinterland Rally (Have made a local call & organised). Harvy and I did the Mt Glorious loop for research on Australia Day. (no jet ski was required - Didn`t even pull out the wet weather gear) and I can tell ya, you`ll love the tucker at Noon of day1.  Doug

I just rang Kenilworth and let them know I will be travelling up there Friday arvo, so as long as they are keeping track of numbers, should be oki doki.  Just did some long overdue FJ maintenance, new plugs/air filter/fuel filter/oil filter, just watching a small weep on the original FJ filter housing, (knew I should have replaced the damn o-ring!).  Probably won't have time to get the bike booked in to get the forks serviced, (haven't changed seals myself yet, looks a bit daunting), but otherwise all ready to go. WooHoo!!!!

Oh, have to fix up the bellypan where the old repaired wing finally snapped off again,

Whatever ya do don`t follow a GPS via Mapleton (off Bruce HWY down the Obi Obi). It`s one-way dirt & prettywell washed out. Fortunateley, coming up (Day 1 and Day 2 of Rally) is also oneway but 2 lanes wide, smooth bitumen with loads of twisties  )

Embroided repeat EMBROIDED (84 FJ ) pic on LH chest. with the following EMBROIDED text underneath :"1984 - 1993" then "FJ1100 -  FJ1200" underneath (in correct fonts & colours).
RH sleeve has "2012 Australian Rally" Total cost $59 but be quick (like today or maybe tomorra at the latest) if ya want it for the Rally. (Also if ya want an extra blue pic (93 FJ) on the sleeve it`ll cost ya an extra $15. Also available in ladies styled sizes.

The vote was to make it available to Rally attendees only (sorry). Just PM me the size ya want & I`ll put it on my credit card. (bring the cash to the Rally) Note: These are a bit less than cost cause I already paid for design & setup by east Coast Embroidery (Maroochydore)  Doug

Sorry for the delay Megsy.  You`ve definateley gotta ensuited room. (Let me know if ya want a Rally shirt - with a pic of your bike on it too ) We`ve been in some heavy negotiation to have "Knotts cottage" for friday night in addition ta Saturday night. It costs $150 a night (2 doubles & 3 singles).  I suspect reception was a bit vague so more would split the cost of the cottage for friday night, but we`re getting it sorted by a mate from the Brissie Wharf.  (Technically accom houses don`t let ya in till around midday, so we needed the cottage to ensure all arrivals on Saturday AM can use it for storage in the morn, (While Riding with less luggage) while the spa guys can jump in their baths when we return Saturday arvo. (If lead riders havent beaten`m to their bubbly tubs  )

Knott`s Cottage is surrounded by an ideallic picket fence with a gate that only bikes & guests can get through. Verandahs with BBQ, Coupla big shady trees, open fire pit, DVD for some bike movies, air con, fridges (but only one bathroom & Toilet - However full amenities block not far away,- if ya like to fart out loud in peace).  We`ll organise stocking fridges with refreshments and tucker on friday from the local shops.

Good news is there`s plenty of extra room if some lurkers decide to come on a whim.  There`s some I know that understandably prefer not to commit, rather than be unreliable due to work etc.  - but I know they`re bustin to be there. Harvy will post Route & ride agenda soon. (We will be inspecting recent storm cleanups first)  Doug

If by Central you are referring to the Central Hotel in Tamworth,
me best mate owns it,
The General even sat on old Central hotel chairs & had a beer in my workshop at xmas
I was part of the furniture once, 
till he moved around the corner from me,
now we play motor bikes & drink in his shed,
typical publican I have to take me own grog & sometimes his

Hi Doug.

When yah say ensuited room,
is that the spa room I have on hold or one of the cabins you booked
As I am waiting to see if you have filled your bookings before I confirm mine.
(Thats a room on my own, I will pay the cabin minimum price for 2)

I will have a shirt in blue & white 5xl or 6xl if possible,

I will be there Friday, but most likely be driving up, just too far to ride in 1 day getting back Sunday hung over
& I need to make a couple of stops in Brisbane Thursday night, & the trailer will be a pain in the butt.
