I finally got rid of the useless stock mirrors on my 93. I narrowed my options to the easiest three.
1 ANDYB's cbr conversion. Unfortuneatly trying to open the attachment to this file only got me an excel
spreadsheet with random letters, numbers and symbols. I tried a few others in the file section with the
same results.
2 TMKAOS's mirror extensions. My milling machine has dro and power feed but its not cnc so these units would be time consuming.
3 GREYRUNNER's Suzuki Bandit conversion.

Greyrunner was good enough to give me the part#s. The mirrors are fairly cheap and as he stated they slot into the stock mounts. I opted to use the Suzuki mounts which after minimal work on the mill to "adjust" the mounting holes also worked. They work and look great.
I had a couple of front peg sets from my 06 FZ1 and these replaced the stock front and passenger ones on the FJ. The front pegs are almost bolt on, the rears required reducing bushings to match the smaller dia.mounting pins.
Suzuki 1250 mirrors US $52.69 each from powersportsplus.com
part# 79-56500-38g21
         79-56600-38g21
I now have more additions to my ever growing pile of stock parts.  Hein

    Morning Monkeyman.
I suspect that deep down inside you just want to see an orange FJ. After reading the info on how to post pictures I still have not figured out how to get from photo bucket to a post. I'm a computer ludite. About the only way I have managed to send a picture is through e-mail. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the pictures.

Hein.

My guess is that you have an incorrectly set up file association.  Download the file (it's a .doc) and rightclick on it while holding shift.  That will give you the "open with..." option, and use MS Word to open it (assuming you have MS Office installed).  Works okay for me, but definitely shouldn't open as a spreadsheet.

There's picks of Heins bike in the folder for the Nthn CA Rally from earlier this year.
It's quite modern looking in its orange livery.

Your computer skills are better then mine since I can't even manage to post pics in the gallery. I'll have to find someone about a quarter of my age to show me.  Hein

Here is Hein's pictures. Kind of small, hope that is not a trend for Hein...  :empathy3:

Hein, I loaded your pics to my FJ gallery. Seen here (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;cat=142;u=104). Easy as attaching a file to an email. Then I started this reply and used the "Insert Image" button where I wanted an image. Located just above and left of the smiley with the game controller. It adds this in the message (with the dash removed) [-img][/img]. you could also just type it in.

Then I opened a second FJ window and went to the gallery where I can view each pic. I right click on the image and select "Copy Image Location".  Then switching back the post edit window and put the mouse cursor Between the center brackets and right clicked the mouse and then selected paste. Then it looks like this (without the first dash) [-img]http://fjowners.com/gallery/2/thumb_104_19_11_11_1_54_01_2.jpeg[/img]

The software does the rest.

Hint...Use the preview button to see how it will look before sending. Almost forgot, use bigger pictures, the small ones leave a suggestive impression. Not too big, don't over compensate either...

I wanted to test the way I normally attach images from my flicker account. This is what I got.

Flicker is like Viagra, only for photos....

Thanks Mark
After three tries, without a child's supervision, I've managed to send an attachment by e-mail.
For my next trick I will try to move a picture from photobucket to the gallery. I must admit I was a little lost by your reference to a "game controller" I kept looking for a smiley with ref's uniform but I couldn't find one. After accosting a sullen looking youth on the street I got the answer.
I'm presently busy with turning 200lbs. of blackberries into wine. Its not that I like to drink a lot but I've found out that filtering the wine through the kidneys helps out nitrogen deficient soil. I'll reserve some for you so that you too can help keep the planet green.
Again, many thanks for your tutorial,  Hein.

Sounds good Hein. Might motivate me to fire up the old beer brewing equipment again.

Back to the mirror topic......

I saw these that look to be ideal for the late model FJs, and maybe the early ones too.

Take a look   http://www.d2moto.com/c-763-mirrors.aspx

The top left and middle sets are the ones I like.

Hey Arnie, they look good. (Yes I`m still awake). Interested to hear comments if anyone`s used them.  Doug
