I am now seriously considering buying a Penske 8983 shock (or, rather, finishing saving up for one).
Having a type 47E bike (originally sold in Sweden), are there any differences between this and the US model?

Really looking forward to having the replacement made...

That appears to be an 84/85 model (1100).  Other than carb tuning, I'm unaware of any major structural differences between the models.  I've been wrong before, though.

That may be a restricted variation.  There were 3 different models for the 1100, (US, UK, restricted market) I think, but even including the restricted models there shouldn't be any differences to the suspension nor chassis (carb jets, intake rubbers, and a speed limiter on some, yes) between the various markets.

Thanks a bunch, good to know in the future.
