Recessions are caused by

The moral decay of America and fosaking god and his commandments
Bankers greed and complete disregard for risk mitigation
Alien mice who have taken over control of the worelds economy for thier own evil purposes
Women in yoga pants walking around and keeeping the men folks from focusing on work

So I have a heard a lot on the news lately about how America is facing a financial crisis again and how the rest of the world is soon to face another recession. How did the last one affect everybody?

Here in South Africa there was lots of talk about it and most people were mocking it, but I didnt see much of a difference. If anything I feel like it helped the smaller countries.

What are the views for the upcoming one? Who's fault is it/ what brought it about? And howcome this never happened while dear old Bush was in power?

Sorry to go off topic of m/cycles but its a topic that affects everything in my opinion, I just dont see what the big fuss is about - probably because I come from a small country

Here's my personal opinion. Take it or leave it. I think God's hand of blessing is being removed from America because we kicked Him out of government, schools, etc. I see a connection.

"When America ceases to be good, she will cease to be great." Don't get me wrong - I love America and spent 22 years on active duty military. It just grieves me to see the moral (or immoral) state she's in.

Here come the replies... I can feel it already. (popcorn)

You are correct to a point, LotsOKids,

However, just because we have let the PC crowds take away our public love for God and Country, does not mean that there are not A LOT of people that still believe and feel that our country has not been forsaken by His hand.

I feel a movement here that will be bringing us back to the traditional America that you served so many years for.  I think that this is at the basis for the Tea Party movement.  They are not the ignorant racists that the liberal media likes to portray them as.  I feel that the Tea Party just wants less government in their lives and a return to traditional American values.  Again, with out government intervention.

I still have hope, as long as I draw breath,

Cheers,

I will defend to the death your right to worship whatever god you choose.

But I'm awfully fucking tired of paying for it.

Honestly, to some degree, I think if the media would focus on the positive aspects rather than the negative ones, the bleating sheep would fall into line and we'd resume kicking ass in short order.  I'm employed and doing well as are all of my friends and family.  No, we're not bankers, nor are we retardedly overpaid construction workers ($60/hr to hang drywall?  the fuck's that all about?), we're doing honest work getting honest pay.

I've said for a long time that politicians deserve fair pay.  And by fair pay, I mean they should make the average of what the people they represent make.  That simple change would help them to work towards improving conditions for those that voted for them.

Where the fuck else but the GOVERNMENT....Come on Rich, you know this...
Federal Funded Jobs require, per the Davis Bacon Act, the payment of a "Prevailing Wage" which the scale is set by the various local unions.
Several states (like Kaliforina) also have this prevailing wage requirement for state funded jobs.

Local cities can opt out of $$$ prevailing wage contracts only if the source of funding is local, and does not involve the Feds or the state.

Your tax dollars a work, courtesy of the unions and the politicians they support. (popcorn)

60$$ to hang a dry wall??

15$$ to hang a dry wall?? Fuck the people here are lucky to get 15rand an hour (about 2$)!!

I work as a clerk and although I get paid monthly the hourly rate would work out to say 4$ an hour, where as my second job i get paid roughly the same per hour(work as an assistant manager at a local grocery store.

I may be wrong but on the news the recession was said to be caused by America being in debt with another country and failed to plan for repayment or something? Either my news is wrong orsomething really obsene is going on with your government - mines thee same by the way.

But you are America, you guys could blow up whatever country you owe money to - atleast thats what bush would do

Although America would be far better off with another president

Jokes aside I think and agree with Lotsokids to a point. An immoral country or part there of denies itself of its own improvement.

From what I see with how much guys get paid in America I can see why the recesiion has never really impacted on small businesses in smaller countries

Sorry I tried to put them as thumbnails but they kept coming up as the dredded red cross

For what it is worth. I support a working wage for the working man and Unions do help to get this done. The wages earned are used to shop in our communities, pay taxes on a higher base salary to fund our communities operating budgets and hopefully provide for a decent life for the family. My Dad raised six kids on a Union wage. So did all of our neighbors and friends growing up. People throw stones at prevailing wage and Union wages, but this is a substantial part of the countries tax base and providesa multiplier in the economy for all, or almost all,  as that money is spent with others as people buy food, cars, entertainment, clothes, insurance, etc. . And, spent it will be as life costs.

Like Huey Long said - " Leave a little Jam on the bottom shelf where the little guy can reach it". :dance2: Still, Alien mice and their qwest for world domination are evil and have caused this mess so lets do fix this.

The construction trades are charged A LOT more than others for medical care. They need to make that money to pay for what the medical insurers demand. I pay $1200-1500 a month in coverage for medical care because the insurers deem construction as one of the most dangerous occupations. And it is.  As for dry-wallers making $60 and hour, good for them, because that means their families are taken care of medically.
As an electrician, my package is over $80 an hour yet I net about $32-34. Then I get taxed. Then I pay dues. I'm not complaining, this is the price of business.
Beyond that, dry-wallers do a job for 8-12 hours a day that MOST people cannot and/or will not do. That is back-breaking work that destroys the body and most guys that do it don't get anywhere near retirement age before they're physically unable to continue. Ever try and lift an 80lb. sheet over your head AND screw it to ceiling joists all day? Does it sound like too much money because it's an occupation you deem below you?  Its fucking hard ass work. They deserve every fucking penny.

Absolutley right on, and every Union or Tradesman earns the right to a fair wage for hard work. I consulted to the largest private builder of homes in the hay days of home construction. They rigged the game and lowered their costs through using, lets be nice here, people who were not iun a Union. Did this lower wages for all framers for example, you bet. Did it lower the price of a House, not in the least. So, crush the wage of the working man to push profits into the bosses pocket. Seems to me that fair wages are the right cause as no house gets built by the boss alone and everyone has families to feed. Does the executive really need to crush the working man, it is just greed plain and simple, unamerican, unwise, unhealthy and a damn shame that we have become so greedy and greasy and low as a nation.  (popcorn)

Now, please do take the Poll if you have not already Ratchet. Alien mice must be exposed and made to pay for their evil deeds.

Do you guys have Telletubbies in the States?
It's the Rabbits!!

I don't believe in religion. I really believe in faith.
Religion is a story told for many years and then written down.
Abraham has a more important place in the Islam than he has in Christianity. It's the same dude.....
Think about that.

In Europe the Greek are getting money to stop them from going bankrupt.
They are getting....ready....12.000 Euro per person (if they actually would give the money to the people and not the government)
Yet they are demonstrating because they have to pay more  tax.

I pay 42% on every euro I make, yet no-one in Holland really minds.
The more you make the more you pay. As high as 50% tax per euro.
I get complete medical for about $100 dollars a month.

I don't know where the Truth lies....

Remember: What you call the Truth is ALWAYS your Truth and will always be YOUR Truth.
Think about this for a while......

everyone always wants to be right.
try to be true for a while.....

Interesting recession views from The netherlands or The Dukes Forest. Alien mice are leading in the Poll BTW  I looked up Hertogenbosch in Wikipedia.

The cities coat of arms is, uh, interesting.

A shield of arms flanked by two bearded near naked dudes, wearing viney leaves over their groin and on their heads, with giant wooden clubs in their hands.

Not to be culturally insensitive, but wow this is rather Borak like, no?

I agree with the comments about media negativity. The media pedals fear and anxiety. 3 months ago I stopped reading newspapers, watching television and listening to the radio and you know what ........in my new naive uninformed existance I''ve never been happier!

It seems that most folks believe that Alien mice have recession on their evil monds. Glad it wasn't banker greed.
