Rust and Corrosion only on the Right Side

Hi All, a curiosity here. I just tore apart my exhaust system to replace some things and I noticed the parts are fine on the left, but rotted all to hell on the right. On the collector box the right silencer pipe is rusted through, the body is pitted deep on the right side, and the two right header pipes and clamp bolts are rusted off. The cylinder head header pipe bolts and nuts are rusted bad. The Silencer hanger bolt on the right side is seized in place and stripped. Also, in general , everywhere I go on the bike the wear on the right side of the bike is greater then the left. Anybody ever seen this before? Any ideas why? You think maybe the bike sat up against a building for a lot of years? I know it was in a garage for the second 20,000 miles of it's life.

It's almost like the last rider kept winter to the right.

It's the coriolis effect.  Had you been south of the equator, the rot would be on the left....
