Aluminium swing arm question.

Will an 89 FJ aluminium swing arm be a direct fit into my 91 FJ.
What, if any, mods are needed?
That's right, I'm looking for more to polish! LOL! :dash1:

Leon, I have not tried it, but believe the answer is yes.
You may also need the earlier chain adjusters as the arm box section is different.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Thought you needed the entire suspension assembly to manage it.  Something about the shock being different, and the linkage being different.

Leon,

The aluminium arm from a '88-'90 bolts straight onto a '91+ (I've got one on mine) The earlier chain adjusters are also needed. FJ11/12 '84-'87 arm is different. I guess it might fit if the matching linkages/shock were used.
