Nice picture!

I know everything changed instantly for all of us in the military then! So much sacrifice and family separation. I did my share, but didn't endure as much as most have. I salute the military members who have stayed the course, and did their time, and those that gave their lives, serving our country.

I was deployed to a very hot, sandy location working on heavy airlift aircraft. Daytime temps reached 130 degrees F. We lived in tents and the toilets were 206 steps away. I thought it was interesting that the Australian Air Force had a large presence there, doing a lot of missions as well.
